About Matthew,

From Green Bay, WI.

Based in New York, NY

Growing up a mile away from Lambeau Field, I grew up playing football. There was nothing that made me more happy, or so I thought. I didn't get my start in theatre until a little later in my life. My sophomore year of high school is when I really dove into the arts. My eyes were opened to this wondrous world of theatre.

During my senior year of high school, I ended up receiving “Best Male Actor” in the 2019 Wisconsin Centerstage Musical Theatre Awards. Because of this I was honored to represent Wisconsin at the 2019 National High School Musical Theatre Awards, A.K.A. The Jimmy Awards. This was the defying moment in my life where I knew this is what I needed to do for the rest of my life.

There’s nothing more fulfilling than telling stories that make people feel things. To laugh and cry, to hate and to love. I can’t explain it for any other reason than that it simply brings me pure joy.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 2023 with a BFA in Musical Theatre, I spent the next year and a half living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming as an actor working at the Jackson Hole Playhouse. I met some wonderful people and got to work on some beautiful Golden Age theatre. I am so grateful for the opportunities and memories that Wyoming provided me.

I moved to New York in January of 2025. The last couple of months have been the best. I love living in the city as a young artist. Every day I learn and see something new. I can’t wait to see what the future and this city has to offer.
